Foil-wrapped potatoes with bacon

Ingredients

  • 10 slices of bacon + cooking fat
  • About 625 g baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 1 C. chopped chives
  • 250-300g cheese curds
  • 1 C. minced garlic
  • Vegetable oil
  • F. Ménard grilling spices
  • Vegetable spices of your choice
  • 4 sheets of aluminum foil or parchment

Preparation

  1. In a large skillet, add the F. Ménard grilling spices and cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the fat in a pot and set aside.
  2. Cut the slices into pieces. To reserve.
  3. Preheat the BBQ to maximum power.
  4. Prepare 4 sheets of aluminum or parchment for the papillotes.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, place the cut potatoes and the fat of bacon. If you have less than 1 tbsp. of fat, add vegetable oil.
  6. Add vegetable spices of your choice on the potatoes and garlic. Mix well together.
  7. Arrange in equal portions in the papillotes, the potatoes. Close the foil.
  8. On the BBQ grill, place the potatoes papillotes in the center for a indirect cooking. Leave to cook for about 30 minutes.
  9. When the cooking is almost finished, remove the papillotes from the grid. open and add cheese curds. Mix well.
  10. Continue cooking on the BBQ grill for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted slightly.
  11. Garnish with bacon and chives when serving.
