Apple Tart Tatin with bacon

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry;
  • 4 apples;
  • 140g sugar;
  • 70g butter;
  • 3-4 slices of F. Ménard bacon.

Preparation

  1. Peel the apples. Cut them in 4 and than cut each piece in half. 
  2. Crumble the bacon into very small pieces.
  3. In a pie pan, add the sugar and sprinkle with the crumbled bacon. Immediately add all the apple slices.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry sheet. Put the sheet on the apples, inserting it well into the edges so as it create a solid base. 
  5. Poke the pie here and there with a fork. Bake in the middle of the oven at 425F for about 25 minutes. The puff pastry should become crispy
  6. Turn off the oven and immediately flip the pie onto a serving plate.
