Festive Cheese Ball

Ingredients

  • 10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2  250 g packages cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 3 jalapeño peppers, diced fine
  • ½ cup grated extra sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Monterey Jack cheese
  • ¼ green onion, minced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp.  Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ tsp. cumin
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, half the crumbled bacon, jalapeños, grated cheese, green onion, salt, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, cumin and ¼ cup chopped pecans.
  2. Using plastic wrap, form a ball with the mixture and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
  3. Remove from the fridge and garnish the ball with the remaining bacon and pecans.   
  4. Serve with crackers or sliced bread.
