Burger with our famous bacon steak & coleslaw

Ingredients

  • 2 packages of F. Ménard bacon steak
  • 2 tsp. of F. Ménard grill spices
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 4 burger buns of your choice
  • 1/4 t. homemade mayonnaise or commercial

Coleslaw

  • 1 c. regular cabbage, grated
  • 1/4 c. carrot, grated
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 tsp. raspberry vinegar or cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt
  • Freshly ground pepper, to taste

Preparation

Sprinkle the slices of bacon steak with F. Ménard grill spices and maple syrup, cook on the barbecue over high heat on a baking sheet or foil for 20 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking.

You can also place the slices of bacon steak on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, sprinkle with grill spices and maple syrup. Put in the oven, preheated to 450 °F for 20 to 25 minutes. Turn halfway through cooking.

While the bacon is cooking, mix all the ingredients of the coleslaw and let stand for at least 15 minutes before using.

Toast the burger buns and spread mayonnaise on one side. On the other side, place 2 slices of bacon steak cut in half and cover with coleslaw.

Close the burger and serve it with fries, chips or homemade salad.
