Gourmet Hot Dog

Ingredients

  • 1 package of 6 large hot dogs
  • 6 gourmet hot dog rolls
  • 8 slices F. Ménard bacon
  • Cooked julienne-style fries (for 3 hot dogs)
  • Cheese curds (for 3 hot dogs)
  • Prepared poutine sauce of your choice (pour 3 hot dogs)
  • Macaroni and cheese of your choice, cooked and ready, (for 3 hot dogs)

Preparation

  1. Roll a hot dog in a slice of bacon. Repeat this step for the 6 wieners.
  2. Preheat BBQ to 450°F.
  3. Place the two remaining slices of bacon in a pan and cook until crisp. Crumble and set aside.
  4. Using indirect heat, place the bacon-wrapped sausage on the BBQ grill.
  5. Cook until bacon is slightly crisp or to taste.
  6. Toast the buns for a minute or two.
  7. Top each bun with a bacon-wrapped hot dog.
  8. Add the macaroni and cheese to 3 hot dogs.
  9. Top the remaining 3 hot dogs with fries, cheese curds and poutine sauce.
  10. Garnish with crumbled bacon.
  11. Enjoy!
