Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • 250 g F. Ménard bacon (8 slices)

  • 1 tbs. brown sugar

  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

For the chipotle sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Lime juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. chipotle chili powder (or more, to taste!)

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 425˚ F and cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil, set aside.
  • Cut the avocados in half and then remove the pits. Gently remove the peel and cut each half of avocado into 4 slices, for a total of 16 pieces of avocado.
  • Cut the bacon slices lengthwise into two equal strips
  • Coat each piece of avocado with half a slice of bacon, as tight as possible.
  • Place each bite on the baking sheet, with the end of the slice down, which will allow the bacon to hold.
  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, chile powder and garlic powder. Sprinkle on each bite.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes, until the bacon is golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, pour the ingredients for the sauce into a bowl and mix well with a whisk.
  • Take the bites out of the oven and let them rest for a minute, then place them on a plate covered with absorbent paper. Leave to stand for another 2 to 3 minutes, then serve with the sauce !
