Ingredients

  • 454g (1 lb) of F. Ménard ground pork
  • 1 cup (2 to 3 units) peeled and grated apples
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chives, chopped
  • 4 teaspoons (20 ml) of F. Ménard pork seasoning
  • 1/2 cup green onions

Mounting

  • 1/4 cup (62.5 ml) apple jelly
  • 4 packs of 250g (1 kg) of F. Ménard bacon
  • 48 toothpicks
  • Mini-muffins pan

Preparation

Thoroughly mix ground the pork with all the other ingredients. Reserve.

Liquefy the apple jelly for a few seconds in the microwave. Place 1/2 teaspoon of apple jelly at the bottom of each mini-muffin mould.

Cut the slices of bacon in three lengthwise, then in half widthwise.

Line each mini-muffin mould with 3 slices of bacon, forming a cross and ensuring that the ends of the bacon protrude on each side.

Place the equivalent of a teaspoon of ground pork mixture in each mini mould. Press lightly.

Close the bundles by bringing all the ends of the bacon slices to the center and secure them with a toothpick.

Brush the remaining apple jelly on the top of the bundles before baking.

Bake in preheated oven at 400 °F for 30 minutes or until the bundles are golden brown. Take out of the oven and let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Serve as is. Enjoy your meal!
