Local hog transporteur with class 1
F. Ménard is currently seeking a local hog transporter to load and unload the animals, handling them with care.
Job type/schedule: Permanent, full time, daytime/evenings, average of 53 hours a week
Location: departing from garage, Ange-Gardien
Responsibilities:
- Inspect truck before each departure from garage
- Load hogs onto truck
- Transport hogs from farm to slaughterhouse and unload them
- Drive and maintain truck in a professional manner
- Apply all biosafety rules in place
- Fill in vehicle inspection reports and all other paperwork related to your duties
We are looking for people who:
- Have a Class 1 driver’s licence
- Are able to maintain good interpersonal relationships and have good judgement
- Are in good physical shape and have a calm temperament
- Are knowledgeable about transport regulations
- Are dedicated to complying with animal well-being standards
- Are polite and can communicate easily
In addition to possessing technical knowledge, the transporter must be highly rigorous in complying with the different regulations, standards and rules established by the company.
