Ingredients

  • 4 slices of F. Ménard bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbs. tomato paste table
  • 3 tbs. Worcestershire sauce table
  • 1 tbs. smoked paprika tea
  • 1/8 cup brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 6 slices of strong cheddar
  • 6 slices of F. Ménard bacon rings, cooked

Preparation

  • In a non-stick pan, brown the bacon pieces for 1 to 2 minutes over medium high heat.
  • Add the onions and sweat for a few minutes.
  • Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add the ground beef and brown the meat.
  • When the meat is cooked, add the ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, paprika and brown sugar. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix well and simmer over medium heat for 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let the sauce thicken. Cook a little more if necessary.
  • Meanwhile, toast the hamburger buns.
  • Top half the buns with the meat mixture and add a slice of cooked bacon over it. Finish with the slice of cheese. Grill Broil on a plate for a few minutes to melt the cheese. Close the burger and enjoy.
