Green salad with apple, bacon and bread croutons

Ingredients

  • About 200 gr salad of your choice
  • 2 green apples
  • 140 gr bacon cut into pieces
  • 2 slices of country bread, diced
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 orange
  • 1/2 tsp. mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. maple syrup
  • 5-6 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

  • First prepare the salad dressing by mixing the juice of half of the lemon, orange juice, mustard, maple syrup, oil, salt and pepper.
  • Mix well and set aside.
  • In a pan, brown the pieces of bacon for 2 minutes, remove them from the pan and place them on absorbent paper.
  • In the same pan (without cleaning) cook the pieces of bread for a few minutes, until they become very crispy.
  • Cut the apples into thin slices keeping the skin and put them in a bowl with the juice of the other half of the lemon.
  • Mix the salad with the apple pieces, season with salad dressing and decorate with bacon and bread. Serve.
