Broccoli and bacon steak salad

  • 4 to 6 portions


  • 1 bunch of medium-sized broccoli cut into small florets
  • 2 slices of bacon steak F. Ménard in cubes (about 175 grams)
  • 1 whole slice of bacon F. Ménard bacon
  • 4 thick slices of Halloumi cheese (grilling cheese)
  • 4 radishes in thin strips
  • ¼ red onion into thin strips
  • 1 medium apple, cubed
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 8-10 sprigs of chopped fresh cilantro (if you don’t like cilantro, replace with parsley or basil)

Dressing :

  • 3 tablespoons of camelina oil or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4 tsp curry powder (or more to taste)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Pepper


For the salad:

  • In a skillet, cook the bacon cubes over medium heat, then set aside on a paper towel.
  • In the same skillet, cook the bacon slice for about 5 minutes on each side.
  • In another skillet, cook the halloumi cheese over medium-high heat for 3 minutes on each side, then set aside.
  • In a large salad bowl, add all the ingredients, except the bacon slice.
  • Pour the dressing, mix well and adjust the seasoning.
  • Pour the salad into a presentation bowl, then finish with the bacon steak slice on top.


For the dressing:

  • In a small bowl, add all the ingredients and whisk well.
