Mini stuffed patacons

  • 1 pack of F. Ménard bacon rounds (250 g)
  • 2 yellow plantains
  • 2 cups olive oil
  • 1 cup mix ground beef and porc
  • 1 cup crooked crispy shrimp
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup


  • Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet.
  • Peel the plantains and cut them into pieces. For a plaintain, we get about 6 pieces. 
  • Fry the plantains in olive oil for about 5 minutes and remove them. 
  • Bake the F. Ménard bacon rounds in the oven and pour the maple syrup on top as soon as they are ready. 
  • Cover a lemon squeezer with a plastic bag and place it on a piece of fried plantain. Press until it is crushed and forms a small cup of plantain.
  • Fry the pressed plantain cups again in hot oil until it is crispy golden.
  • Remove the excess oil and fill the mini patacons with the toppings of your choice : cheese, beef and pork or shrimp.
  • Garnish the mini patacons with the bacon slices and enjoy!
