Ingredients

  • 5 slices of F. Ménard bacon (about 1/2 package) cooked and cut into thin pieces
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese (I use strong cheddar) finely grated
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (5% light sour cream could also do the trick)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Preparation

  • In large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
  • Add the crumbled bacon and grated cheese.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg by hand, add milk, plain yogurt and melted butter.
  • Add the liquid mixture into the first mixture of dry ingredients whisking by hand until you get a uniform texture (Obviously, there will be some lumps because of the cheese and bacon).
  • Cook in your waffle maker!
